PBS North Carolina Presents 'State Lines Election Specials,' a Series of NC Candidate Interviews

PBS NORTH CAROLINA PRESENTS ‘STATE LINES ELECTION SPECIALS,’  A SERIES OF NC CANDIDATE INTERVIEWS 

This fall, host Kelly McCullen speaks with candidates for important NC offices, including Governor, Attorney General and more.

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC, 9/4/2024 — PBS North Carolina presents State Lines Election Specials featuring interviews with candidates for NC’s Council of State. State Lines host and executive producer Kelly McCullen sits down with candidates for offices like Governor, Attorney General, Superintendent of Public Instruction and Secretary of State to hear their vision for the state’s future. All major party candidates have been invited to participate. 

State Lines Election Specials will air on PBS NC beginning Wednesday, September 4, at 7 PM. Additional interviews will be broadcast through mid-October. Interviews will also be available on pbsnc.org, YouTube and the PBS app

State Lines Election Specials will give you a chance to hear directly from candidates as they vie for pivotal roles in the upcoming November elections,” says Kelly McCullen. “They’ll share why they’re seeking office and offer insight into their leadership style and policy priorities. These important one-on-one interviews complement the political analysis found on our weekly State Lines show and offer balanced, well-rounded information on candidates.” 

Candidates are seeking election to NC’s Council of State, which includes: Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, Secretary of State, State Treasurer, State Auditor, Commissioner of Agriculture, Commissioner of Insurance, Commissioner of Labor and Superintendent of Public Instruction.

Later this fall, PBS North Carolina will present interviews with judicial candidates for the North Carolina Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of North Carolina.
