PBS North Carolina Wins 6 Awards at the 38th Annual Midsouth Regional Emmys

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC, 3/4/2024 - PBS North Carolina received six Emmy Awards at the 38th Midsouth Regional Emmy Awards ceremony, held on Saturday, February 17 at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville, TN. The awards were presented by the Nashville/Midsouth Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
“There is so much to be proud of and it remains an honor to be surrounded by the commitment, creativity and passion of this team,” says Laura Kieler, Chief Marketing and Content Officer. “These much-deserved accolades are a testament to the care shown to the stories we’ve been entrusted to spotlight on PBS NC as well as the dedication and incredible talent of our storytellers and creators.”
In total, PBS North Carolina was recognized with 13 nominations in nine different categories ranging from documentary, video essay and magazine formats to lifestyle, instructional and arts/entertainment.
The 38th Midsouth Regional Emmy Awards recognize work produced between July 1, 2022 and June 30, 2023. The nearly 1,000 entries were judged by peer professionals from at least two chapters of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
