North Carolina Will Soon Have a New State Park. And That's Good News for This Endangered Fish

Two rivers converge in Rockingham County, in North Carolina's Piedmont region. The Mayo River and the Dan River meet near the towns of Mayodan and Madison. A new state park is under development not far away, and officials hope Mayo River State Park will protect the river AND the endangered fish that inhabit the river.
