Any Sherlockians or Holmesians out there? I have binged Sherlock many times, and I can’t wait to watch it all over again when the British show comes back to PBS on June 30. If you’re not a fan already, you’re surely about to be.
Cocky and sassy Sherlock Holmes (played by Benedict Cumberbatch), who describes himself as, “a consulting detective, the only one in the world,” solves intricate homicides with his talent of psychoanalyzing people without getting to know them. You can sense Holmes’ arrogance through his relationships with his friend, roommate and associate Dr. Watson (played by Martin Freeman) and other enchanting detectives and officers throughout the show. Sherlock already has quite the fandom, but we promise new fans are always welcome!
Doesn’t July just make you yearn for sand between your toes, the sweet scent of sunscreen and the soothing sound of ocean waves? It’s the perfect time to catch up on two of your favorite seaside dramas instead of dealing with the Carolina heat and humidity. A new season of Hotel Portofino is coming next month so make sure you’re caught up with seasons 1 and 2! Also, Seaside Hotel offers a charming and nostalgic glimpse into the daily dramas at a small Danish beach hotel that’s totally addicting.
Finally, I understand we’ve all been obsessed with Netflix’s Bridgerton and are feeling a little blue now that its season has come to an end. However, I’ve compiled a list of shows that I believe could help fill the void.
