Our locally produced two-hour documentary American Coup: Wilmington 1898 tells the story of a race massacre and coup d’etat, shedding light on how racism and propaganda forever altered NC history. The film was distributed nationally through American Experience and earned a Peabody Award nomination as one of the best documentaries of the year.
