Permanent Positions:

On-Air Promotions Manager

PBS North Carolina is looking for a full-time, self-motivated, multitasking On-Air Promotions Manager in the RTP area. The primary purpose of the On-Air Promotions Manager is editing and creating video content that promotes the organization and PBS North Carolina’s campaigns and strategic messaging during station breaks for on-air program services, and other broadcast and digital platforms. Additionally, the On-Air Promotions Manager promotes PBS NC’s local and national PBS programming and non-broadcast services, motivates our audience to financially support PBS NC, and provides federally mandated identification, underwriting, licensing and emergency messaging to our viewers. Management prefers intermediate to advanced graphics animation skills and experience with Adobe Photoshop and After Effects, and 3-5 years of experience working with Adobe Premier Pro or other non-linear editing systems. 

Responsibilities include: create and implement on-air interstitial content and promotional campaigns for all four of PBS NC’s on-air services and digital platforms; coordinate with copywriters for scripts, on-air talent for voice overs, and the creative services team for other interstitial elements; produce material for all platforms, including on-air, social media, PBS NC’s websites, and digital video platforms such as Media Manager and YouTube.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalency and four years of progressive experience in a broadcast television, radio and emerging media environment, of which one year is supervisory; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
