PBS North Carolina Wins 8 Emmy® Awards at 37th Midsouth Regional Emmys

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC, 2/27/2023 — PBS North Carolina received eight Emmy® Awards at the 37th Midsouth Regional Emmy Awards ceremony, held virtually this year, on Saturday, February 25. The awards were presented by the Nashville/Midsouth Chapter of theNational Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
“I’m thrilled that PBS North Carolina’s exceptional work has been honored by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences,” says Laura Kieler, PBS North Carolina’s Chief Content Officer and Chief Marketing Officer. “These awards reflect our network’s deep commitment to inclusive storytelling, technical excellence and the North Carolina communities we serve. That takes great effort, collaboration and vision from everyone across our organization.”
In total, PBS North Carolina was recognized with 16 nominations in 12 different categories, ranging from documentary, magazine and public affairs formats to lifestyle, instructional and arts/entertainment content as well as technical achievement.
The 37th Midsouth Regional Emmy Awards recognize work produced between July 1, 2021, and June 30, 2022. The nearly 1,000 entries were judged by peer professionals from at least two chapters of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
