Featured Speaker

Nicole Fenner

Nicole Natasha Fenner is a visionary and game-changer. She has been given a strong calling and uses her purpose to touch lives on a daily basis. Writing is her avenue to help young girls on their journey.

She is equipping readers with hope, a voice, and inspiration with each page-turn. The Mount Vernon, New York native is a graduate of Clark Atlanta University. Upon her completion of child psychology and developmental courses, she realized even more how important the early years of life are to children. Writing her first book was a labor of love, and connected her to her own childhood and time spent with her father.

The focus of the Sister Girl Collection is to motivate young girls to be enthusiastic about life, make good decisions, and learn that they are valuable. It gives young ladies a chance to talk about issues and life lessons that children face through colorful and exciting narrations. Every book encompasses Sister Girl learning a new lesson, skill, or exploring the world.

Nicole Fenner currently resides in Halifax, NC, with plans to find other ways to reach the community and world through inspiration and advocacy.

Have questions about Virtual Impact Summit? We have answers.

How do I join the Zoom sessions?

All attendees were emailed a unique link to join the live Zoom sessions. Please click this link to join. If you are having issues with the Zoom app, please review Zoom's FAQ. We are unable to provide technical support for Zoom.

My Wi-Fi isn't connecting.

If you are having issues with your Wi-Fi or internet connection, we recommend that you contact your service provider. Often, wi-fi issues are resolved by resetting your modem and router. You can do this by unplugging both devices, waiting 30 seconds and plugging both back in. If the issue persists, please contact your service provider.

I attended the in-person conference in June and am looking for a session I missed. Are all Impact Summit sessions available to watch on-demand?

Only a select group of Impact Summit sessions were recorded for on-demand streaming. You can review all available sessions above or online at video.pbsnc.org/show/impact-summit/episodes/.

What sessions are available to watch on-demand?

Explore sessions by title, by age range, or by category above. You can also explore and watch all of our Impact Summit sessions online at video.pbsnc.org/show/impact-summit/episodes/

Can I watch more sessions after today's conference?

Yes! All of our 2023 Impact Summit on-demand sessions will be available to stream at video.pbsnc.org/show/impact-summit/.

How do I receive credit toward continuing education units for this conference?

Instructions will be provided during "Closing Remarks" at the end of the day. North Carolina licensed educators may use this Impact Summit for six (6) contact hours towards continuing education units. If educators attended the in-person Impact Summit in Asheville, these hours are in addition to the ones received on June 24.

Educators attending from outside North Carolina are advised to contact their local licensing authority for more information about earning CEUs from out of their home state.

Participation will be verified by PBS NC and participants must attend the entire day to receive their Certificate of Completion.

When will I receive the North Carolina Family Childcare Home (FCCH) provider stipend?

If you are a North Carolina Family Childcare Home (FCCH) provider who is interested in receiving a stipend for your participation, please know that we have a limited number of cards to distribute based on the funding granted to us for this purpose. Please make sure that you have completed the waitlist form. If you were in contact with PBS Education by email before June 15, you do not need to complete the form, but you do need to respond to the email sent to you by PBS North Carolina Education.

After July 15, our team will confirm eligibility and reach out to FCCH providers in the order we were contacted until we have exhausted our inventory. We appreciate your patience, as this process may take a few weeks to complete.

When is the next Impact Summit?

We will be back in 2024 in Eastern North Carolina and online. More information will be shared in early 2024.

How do I present at Impact Summit?

Stay tuned for our request for proposals in early 2024.
